Angharad Davies
Director
Angharad Davies is the founder and Director of Cadno. She has nearly three decades worth of stakeholder management experience having worked in-house at senior levels for large corporations in the regulated sector undergoing major structural change and significant infrastructure investment projects. Angharad worked with Westminster and European Parliamentarians before working in policy and public affairs in the education and health sectors, to more recently managing political communications for Royal Mail Group and then as Head of UK Public affairs for BT Openreach. Originally from Ceredigion, Angharad is a Welsh speaker now based in Cardiff. She sits on the RenewableUK Cymru Strategy Group.
Sarah Jones
Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager
Sarah Jones has worked with Cadno since the beginning and has strong project and office management experience. She worked in the voluntary sector specialising in community engagement, where she facilitated focus groups and workshops for public sector organisations, including local authorities, and trained staff and volunteers. Previously, Sarah was a project manager and trainer for a criminal justice charity, working with staff, volunteers, victims of crime and offenders, and worked as an office manager for the Ministry of Justice and HM Prison Service. Sarah is an advanced Welsh learner and is now based in Barry.
Nel Richards
Communications and Public Affairs Assistant
Nel is a recent graduate with a distinctive blend of environmental expertise, media communication skills, and community engagement experience. After earning a BA in Welsh and Journalism from Cardiff University, she completed an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development at King’s College London. Driven by a commitment for environmental and social justice, Nel has contributed to climate change initiatives through her work with Ashden and Let’s Go Zero and has written as a freelance journalist on topics ranging from live music to COP coverage. She has also worked as an assistant director on educational and cultural programmes for BBC and S4C. Originally from the Swansea Valley, Nel is a Welsh speaker now based in Cardiff.
Rosemary Grogan
Strategic Adviser
Rosemary Grogan provides strategic counsel, drawing on her wealth of experience as one of the UK’s most respected public affairs practitioners. Rosemary has provided public affairs advice to a number of clients on onshore and offshore wind farms, and grid connection projects. She has also worked with high-profile clients in retail, food and drink, waste and manufacturing. She spent twenty years in London, where she was a founder director of Westminster Strategy and APCO UK, and earlier in her career she was Head of the Information Service for MPs at the House of Commons Library. She lives in Mid Wales.
Daniel Taylor
Policy and Public Affairs
Daniel Taylor leads Cadno’s policy and public affairs work, utilising his experience in policy, political monitoring and campaigns. Previously, he worked for political monitoring organisation Newsdirect Wales, covering the Senedd and UK Parliament for a range of public, private and third sector clients and leading the Wales team as Deputy Director. Daniel gained experience working in political campaigns during the 2021 Senedd Elections, contributing to a successful constituency campaign in one of Wales’ most marginal seats. He is a Welsh learner and sports enthusiast, and lives in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Branwen Gwyn
Welsh Translator
Branwen has worked with Cadno since 2020, leading on formal translation of communications and consultation material. She has an MA with Distinction in Professional Translation Studies from Aberystwyth, and now divides her time between translating, and working in television. She lives in Cardiff.
Jo Hollowood
Graphic Designer
Jo leads on designing collateral across all media, providing advice on branding. Jo is the founder of JHGD, an award-winning design agency, and has been providing accessible design services to the energy sector for 10 years. Jo and Cadno have collaborated successfully since 2022 on large scale renewables projects. She lives in Aberystwyth.
Lydia Eedy
Public Affairs Intern
Lydia is a MS Marketing student as Cardiff University and will be supporting our comms and public affairs work in the run up to the Senedd Election. She has a First-Class Honours degree in English and History from the University of Birmingham. Over the past few years, she has gained experience across multiple sectors, from technology and law to fashion and sustainability, in roles that have consistently strengthened her creativity, adaptability, and collaborative approach.
