Welcome to Cadno Communications

Specialising in stakeholder management for infrastructure projects in planning and construction, and managing day-to-day stakeholder engagement at corporate level, Cadno can ensure that you are communicating with the right people, at the right time, in the right way. The Cadno team is experienced in dealing with large and complex developments, and has worked on a number of challenging proposals to get them across the winning line.

At Cadno, we believe that it is vitally important that policy makers take well-informed decisions on behalf of our nation and communities.  To do that they should feel comfortable to engage with developers, feel involved with the project, and able to contribute in a way that ensures it delivers maximum benefit to local people, and makes a positive difference.

Cadno can help your company develop communications strategies that build political understanding and support by engaging with the right stakeholders using the right messages.  Whether you want public affairs support, to raise the profile of your company’s credentials amongst decision makers, or need to win hearts and minds locally for a major infrastructure project, Cadno can advise and guide, or design and lead, a communications programme, ensuring that great projects get built.

At Cadno, we really understand the world of politics and business and know the importance of civil society and community.  We help our clients understand these things too, so that good ideas can become successful realities.

Angharad Davies has extensive experience of stakeholder management having worked in-house at senior levels for large corporations in the regulated sector, gaining experience of dealing with major structural change and significant infrastructure projects.

Angharad worked with Westminster and European politicians before taking up policy and public affairs roles with organisations in the education and health sectors, to more recently managing political communications at Royal Mail Group and then as Head of UK Public affairs for BT Openreach.

She established Cadno Communications Ltd, in 2015.  Originally from West Wales, she speaks Welsh fluently, and is now based in Cardiff.

Sarah Jones is responsible for liaising with stakeholders, event management, communications, research and general administration.

Sarah has a strong project management and office management background, and has worked in the Welsh voluntary sector specialising in community engagement. Sarah supported public service organisations, including local authorities and health boards, by facilitating focus groups and workshops with the public as well as training staff and volunteers.

She also previously worked as a project manager and trainer for a criminal justice charity where she worked with staff, volunteers, victims of crime and offenders, and as an office manager for the Ministry of Justice and HM Prison Service.

At Cadno, we want to develop creative and long-term relationships with clients and provide tools and techniques that are specific to their needs. We can work in a very hands-on way – leading the communications programme, meeting the stakeholders and providing feedback; or we can provide intelligence, advice, messaging and collateral to support your people on a communications programme led by them.
We are proud of the way that we work, of our track record and high standards.  We always follow closely rules of engagement set out in Codes of Conduct.  Our aim is to make stakeholders feel comfortable and happy to discuss projects, to ask questions and to get involved in shaping the outcomes.  We will never compromise our stakeholders, and we value our relationship with them.

Proud to be members of the Public Relations & Communications Association and Public Affairs Cymru.

Each member of the team has full professional indemnity and public liability insurances.

We choose our clients carefully and will only work with companies who are doing good things to make the world a better place, and with people who share our values.
