On a sunny autumnal morning, members of Trydan, WSP and Cadno volunteered with The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales at Lavernock Nature Reserve. Located between Penarth and Sully, Lavernock Nature Reserve includes areas designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) and protects important Jurassic limestone grassland habitats. The reserve is also home to a Second World War anti-aircraft battery.
With Trydan’s proposed Larnog Solar Farm located nearby, it was a great opportunity to see how renewable energy projects and nature conservation initiatives can work together to enhance biodiversity and deliver lasting environmental benefits for the local area.
